Siwanoy Country Club is a private member- owned club located in Bronxville, New York. The Club offers many amenities such a clubhouse for providing private dining and member events. It includes a men’s locker room, ladies lounge and locker room.

The Club offers a challenging 18 hole Donald Ross Designed Golf Course, provides lessons from our Golf Professionals, fully stocked golf shop, and an extensive caddy program.

The Club also offers tennis all year round, with four courts in season and two courts enclosed in a bubble for the cooler months. We also have three paddle courts for the winter months. The tennis shop carries the latest equipment and apparel for both tennis and paddle.

The new pool facility has an Olympic size heated swimming pool, Poolside Grille, Pool Bar and locker rooms facilities. Camp Siwanoy is our day camp program which offers Tennis, Golf and Swimming for over 200 member’s children.

Answering multi-line telephone and directing calls to corresponding departments
  • Take member’s lunch, dinner, special events reservations and inquiries
  • Knowledge of information that is posted in the monthly bulletin, website
  • Process membership payments
  • Receive, sort and deliver mail to corresponding departments
  • Provide occasional administrative support to the GM Assistant GM and Accounting Department

Position Summary:  Responsible for service staff hiring, training, and scheduling of all ala carte and banquet staff;
ensuring service is consistent with club standards and the level of service expected by individual
members of SiwanoyCountry Club; develop and adhere to operating budgets; work closely with
other department managers to coordinate efforts to deliver excellence to all members and their
guests; and lead by example.  The ideal candidate will possess a passion for service, work as a
part of a team, positive motivator, excellent listener and problem solver.  This position requires
a strong team leader who is able to offer new and creative ideas that will enhance the service
experience of the members
 
Venue:

 
The clubhouse has a Grill Room for member dining that seats 120, a private dining room that seats
up to 30, and Main Dining Room that seats 175, Outdoor Terrace with seating for up to 200 and Ballroom
those seats 150.  Gross annual food and beverage revenues are approximately $2.4M with 60% generated
for ala carte dining.  The Club is open eleven months of the year, closed in February and offers three days
of service during the months of January and March. 


 

Ladies Locker Room Attendant

 
Experience Requirements:
Siwanoy Country Club member-owned private Country Club with 600 members, located in Southern
Westchester County less than 30-minutes from New York City, is seeking a Ladies Locker Room
Attendant with a proven track record in the Hospitality Industry.  The ideal candidate shall have a
High School diploma and/or degree from a two-year community college and a minimum of five
years of experience in housekeeping and member service, perferably at a high-end private Golf
and/or Country Club.   She must have strong organization and leadership skills, exceptional
communication skills, proven ability to build professional relationships with members and staff,
and is detail oriented.   This position is full-time and available in March 2017.



The Ladies Locker Room Attendant is a vital part of the club.  Oversees and is actively offers service
of members and guests in the ladies locker rooms as well as coat check services in the evenings
during the off-season.  Greets members and guests by name and ensure that member satisfaction
standards are consistently attained.  Responsible for caring for member footwear, amenities in the
club’s locker room wet areas and common areas and tracking locker assignments, transfers and
cancellations.  Orders supplies through the Locker Room Manager and maintains the ladies lounge
cleanliness to Club standards.  Further, she must insure the service level is kept high and the needs
of the club’s most-demanding members are not only met but exceeded.  Finally, this person must
possess excellent communication skills in order to converse with a wide variety of successful and
highly regarded individuals.

Position Frame:

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS:
 1.Welcomes and greets members and guests upon arrival and departure.
 2.Performs duties of locker room staff as needed.
 3.Ensures the safety and security of all members’ and guests’ personal property.
 4.Issues lockers, keys, supplies to members and guests as needed.
 5.Maintains a list of occupied lockers; inventory lockers monthly and provides a billing list to the
    accounting office each month
 6.Coordinates the purchase and inventory of supplies including shampoo, body wash, shaving
    razors, mouthwash and other items through the Locker Room Manager.
 7.Inspects locker area to ensure proper appearance, maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
 8.Resolves member and guest complaints.
 9.Assures that all tasks are assigned and completed as required.
 10.Enforces established Club Rules, regulations and policies.
 11.Assures that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are in place and
      consistently followed.
 12.Assigns lockers for guests during tournaments and special events.
 13.Assists in the annual planning and budgeting process and operates within budget parameters
 14.Serves as the evening Coat Check Attendant during the off-season and for special events.
 15.Completes other appropriate assignments made by the General Manager.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
 
1.     Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment
        which is typical of this position.
